A recent press release concerning ArnoldIT's Google monitoring service piqued my interest. It turns out to be a nicely formatted aggregation page for Google blogs. The most recent five blog entries (or titles therefrom) are grouped together by category. Google has over 70 different blogs (for everything from Gears and Gadgets to OpenSocial and Chrome). Keeping up with them all is nearly impossible.

Following a string of other top publishers, Condand#233; Nast is turning its corporate video content management duties over to Brightcove. In the coming months, a total of 16 Condand#233; Nast Web properties are expected to incorporate the online video platform, including Wired.com, Portfolio.com, Glamour.com, Parade.com and Self.com.

Today AOL shall announce plans to pass its video content management responsibilities to Brightcove. Until now, the company managed video internally.

not a huge surprise. Microsoft releases services packs every six months
to a year, with various "patches" released more frequently.

I've been advising a large enterprise in the midst of a somewhat complex Web CMS and Component Content Management implementation, and recently participated in a mid-project check-point where the lead systems integrator laid out progress to date. It was interesting how the atmospherics of the project had changed over the course of the year.

Enterprise Content Management (ECM) technology goes back around 30 years, and at it's heart lies document management and workflow. The technology 30 years on is faster, more scalable, easier to use and deploy, but essentially the same in principal as it was back in the day.
