Yahoo's confirmation that Scott Moore is leaving is about to cross the wires, included in the news that Jeff Dossett is joining the company as SVP-U.S. Audience. Dossett—who, like Moore, comes to Yahoo (NSDQ: YHOO) from MSN—will "fill the role previously held by Scott Moore who is leaving Yahoo!

With everything going on in the credit markets lately, this is hardly an ideal time to have the quality of your debt challenged, but that's exactly what happened to the Washington Post Co. yesterday when both Moody's and Standard and Poor's revised the ratings outlook for the publisher from stable to negative.
The media portion of Bloomberg's business is tiny right now, but that could change as the company tells tells BusinessWeek's Jon Fine in a typically reticent fashion, that it is considering making "potential acquisitions." That would be a new thing for the the financial news and data provider, which has formed all its media properties in-house.
Call it Top Design Newspapers. Seven of Tribune Company's daily metro papers have gone through major redesigns. As the Los Angeles Times overhaul nears completion, Lee Abrams is defending the choices the company made and insists that the overwhelming criticism that greeted the plans when they were announced back in June have dissipated.
Bonnier Corp., which bought a host of enthusiast and affinity magazines from Time Inc. last year, has made another acquisition: Working Mother Media. Bonnier says Working Mother magazine will be a good fit with Parenting and Babytalk, two of the 18 titles it absorbed in the Time Inc. deal.

-- Jupitermedia: In its 10-Q, the stock photo and online media company, says its MediaBistro unit did revenue of $2.3 million in the latest quarter, and $4.4 million in the first half. Based on the $5 million in revenue the company did in the second half of last year, the unit now has trailing revenue of $9.4 million.
