Big Four ad agency Publicis is now buying in to Latin American digital advertising, acquiring Sao Paulo-based Tribal to add to its Digitas online ad group. Digitas CEO Laura Lang said Tribal is "fundamental" to expanding in the growing region. Publicis bought Digitas back in 2006 and has grafted on various international digital acquisitions in the UK, India, Singapore, China and its native France, so this will be a foothold across the Atlantic.

These are tougher times for car companies, but Honda feels it's only more necessary to ramp up its digital advertising. The company hopes that a big, splashy campaign across all online and mobile ad space held by Sony (NYSE: SNE) Pictures Television will do the trick of at least getting consumers' attention.

After a mixed year that saw a failed attempt to acquire Yahoo (NSDQ: YHOO), Microsoft's (NSDQ: MSFT) top officers generally received bonuses at the low end of their expected range. CEO Steve Ballmer had a target bonus range of 100-200 percent of his base salary. Based on a combination of factors, his bonus ended up at 109 percent, or 700,000.

Yahoo has renewed once again its take on digital advertising with a new platform called APT from Yahoo. This digital advertising solution was previously announced as AMP! APT from Yahoo aims to facilitate faster processing of buying and selling ads online and also connecting publishers, advertisers, agencies, networks, partners and developers.
